Welcome to four-i October
It has been a busy few weeks for us at the Property Academy with our Step UP event last week with Josh Phegan, Property Management LIVE tomorrow, and New Homes LIVE next Friday, as well as our flagship event EA LIVE coming up on 2nd December, all of which are fantastic networking opportunities for the property sector.
Networking at our events reminded me of one of the Property Academy speakers Rob Brown, who is known as the Millionaire Connector. He says ‘It’s not who you know, but who knows you’.
We know many people in our local area, but who knows us? We need our future customers to know us. Rob believes that if we build our inner circle, our outer circle will follow.
How well-known are we in our local area? How likely are we to be called if individuals in our area are looking to sell or let? The more we get out there in to the community and at local events, and keep in touch with our past clients, the more people in turn will know and remember us. The more people know us, the more likely we will be contacted and engaged as their agent.
Hopefully we will see you at one of our upcoming events as they really are a great way to meet other fantastic forward-thinking individuals, in the industry and who knows where it might lead?!
For this month’s newsletter I interviewed Tiffany Kemp after she spoke at our Lettings Mastermind Group in September (members had a three-and-a-half-hour workshop with her). Tiffany specialises in contracts and what needs to be included to ensure that we hold on to our profit, and stay out of court!
There is a huge amount of opportunity for estate agents to generate additional revenues through Land & New Homes, so we asked Kevin Ellis a few questions on how to make the most of this.
Last Friday I danced at the ‘Strictly Agents Dancing’ charity ball and there are some lessons learned that I wanted to share including links to some of the most watched and highly regarded TED talks which I would recommend taking the time to watch.
Have a fantastic October!
