Why is it important to manage stress within Property Management teams, and what are the best ways to do so?

Sue Firth, Business Psychologist and Stress Management Expert

Sue_Firth_100Performing under pressure takes practice because in the face of stress, our brains tend to want to shut down, reducing our focus, increasing anxiety and stopping us from being able to problem-solve.

We can build resilience though by learning how circumstances, and our reactions, are influenced by mood and our thoughts, then we can develop the ability to bounce back from difficult situations.

Recognition is the first thing so we can identify what situations press our buttons, followed by focussing our attention with a series of tools that reduce the pressure we’re feeling. This focus enables us to get back in control and handle the issues we’re dealing with.

If you want to know more, come and see me at Property Management Live where I will be presenting “Bounce Back! Building a Resilient Team”.

Sue joins an expert speaker line-up at Property Management LIVE on 7th October including:

  • Spencer Lawrence & Reagan Bradley, Paramount Properties
  • Peter Knight, Property Academy Chairman
  • Lucy Jones, Knight Frank
